Mission and Goals of Alameda TVAlameda TV's mission is to provide the City of Alameda with choices in television programming that originate from within the community. By supplying access for public, educational and government programming, Alameda Power & Telecom provides the local views and voices needed by the community to strengthen and evolve. The goal is to provide quality cable television content that will encourage community dialogue, cultural expression and exchange, and education through the medium of television. Three ChannelsAlameda TV is comprised of two channels:
Programming HoursAlameda TV broadcasts a minimum of three evenings a week on Public Access Channel 31. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Other hours are programmed on an exception basis. Government Access Channel 15 cablecast hours are set by the schedule of city government meetings. Submission of ProgramsSee Submitting Programs (in the Producer Info area of this site). Alameda TV Organization and ManagementChannel 31 The Public/Community Access content is offered, managed, and maintained by Alameda Power & Telecom. The Educational Access content is offered, managed, and maintained by the Alameda Unified School District with Alameda Power & Telecom providing cablecasting facilities.
