ALAMEDA, Calif., February 12, 2007 -
As you may be aware, funding for Alameda Power & Telecom’s public access channel, Channel 31, has been significantly reduced. As a result, effective Monday, February 12, associated production, post-production support, and training services will not be available for an indefinite period.
Alameda Power & Telecom will continue to accept and air “completed and cablecast-ready” programs produced or sponsored by Alameda residents. Completed and cablecast-ready” programs must be in either VHS or DVD formats.
Please be assured that we appreciate the value of community-based programming and are working to develop alternative methods of making these services available to Alamedans. To this end, we may be soliciting volunteer assistance from within our community to continue providing the great programming for which Channel 31 is known. Please watch our web site for more information.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
