To help the community better understand Alameda Power & Telecom's generation mix and new power alternatives, Alameda TV has produced a series of programs based on an Alameda Power & Telecom Clean Future Fund Speaker Series.

Speaking About Power

A recent event included Ms. Linda Nutting, Senior Project Developer for Ameresco, Inc., a provider of energy from landfill gas, and Mr. Anders Glader, Senior Originator with PPM Energy, now supplying wind-generated electricity to Alameda. Mr. Don Rushton, Alameda Power & Telecom's Utility Planning Supervisor, offered additional perspective on our community's power needs and recent power transmission developments.

The three speakers provided insights on the role these renewable technologies play in the industry in general and for Alameda in particular. About 80% of the power consumed in Alameda is generated using renewable resources.
